Large Manzanita Trees

Large manzanita trees are available from 8′ to 12′ tall. These trees come in many shapes ranging from single stem to multiple stems. They can be cut and trimmed leaving most of the intricate branches or trimmed down to the larger branches.

Many of these trees are getting pretty old and contain streaks of dead wood. This gives the trees an old, mature tree appearance and the contrast between the live and dead wood adds to their character.

Manzanita is typically not a long lived tree and these large trees are reaching the end of their life cycle. If not harvested and left to the weather, they will eventually start to decay and weaken and start to break apart from the weight of heavy snows, or more likely from bears climbing them to get the berries.

While the large manzanita trees are still solid, the dead wood is still strong and after they are harvested the trees can last indefinitely as long as they are kept out of the weather.
